Our virgin woodchip is free draining and is a huge advantage under straw beds in calf houses or any loose stock house with large amounts of animals. Where woodchip is used under straw bedding, the bed remains dryer and less straw is required. The more absorbent the bedding is, the less bedding required, which means you use less and don't have to dispose of as much.
Wood chip heating systems usually run at very high efficiencies up to 93% giving elevated efficiencies combined with lowered particulate production. Sourced from our own renewable resource, our wood chips are a low cost, low carbon, source of heating energy. Woodchip heating is a tried and tested heating technology across much of Europe.
Virgin Timber from the Chip Shop has had no chemical treatments or finishes applied. The timber is sourced from our own forests and renewable resources.
We have excellent logs and well seasoned. Our timber is felled one winter for sale the next and kept in the ground.
